Looking for new colleagues
The NetKnights team had the pleasure of being part of the job fair at the University of Kassel’s Department of Electrical Engineering and Informatics. After we had put up our booth in the morning, the fair officially started at 12 pm – and from then on, time flew by.
This was mainly a result of the many interesting conversations with students and career starters. Our team was delighted by the great interest in our work. We were really happy to meet so many motivated young people who were interested in our projects and career opportunities at NetKnights.
We were asked one question again and again: "What exactly do you do at NetKnights and how can I get on board?" We would like to use this article to go into this in more detail.
What exactly do you do at NetKnights?
With our open source software privacyIDEA, we provide a flexible and scalable solution for two-factor authentication. Our mission is to help our customers become independent of proprietary software and regain control over their data. privacyIDEA can be seamlessly integrated into existing IT landscapes – regardless of the number of users.
We strongly believe in the values of open source. That’s why we make privacyIDEA freely available to the world. This philosophy allows us to continuously improve and develop innovative solutions together with our community.
How can I get on board?
Currently we are looking for new colleagues who support our team in the development and consulting department.
Development
In the development department, everything focuses on the heart of our work: the open source software privacyIDEA. Our developers work on the further development and releases of privacyIDEA – both on the server side and on the associated plug-ins and the privacyIDEA Authenticator app.
As a working student, you also have the opportunity to gain valuable practical experience and experience a steady learning curve. We are currently looking for motivated working students who would like to support our development team.
Consulting
Our consultants work closely with our customers. They carry out set-up reviews, assess the current status and the customer’s requirements and guide them through the entire implementation process. This also includes the initial installation of privacyIDEA and help with system updates, for example from version 3.9 to version 3.10.
If you are a good listener, a good communicator and have a strong technical understanding, consulting could be just the thing for you.
