10 years NetKnights - Our anniversary party
This June is a very special month for us, because: NetKnights is turning 10 years old.
Let’s start at the beginning – NetKnights was founded by Cornelius Kölbel in 2014. His vision: to support companies in making their data access more secure and remain independent of proprietary software, thanks to open source.
This moment marks the birth of the two-factor authentication software privacyIDEA.
In the years that followed, NetKnights grew steadily: more and more customers around the world became aware of privacyIDEA, and a one-man business developed into an internationally active company.
Today, almost 15 employees work at NetKnights and we support customers in Asia, North and South America, Australia and Europe with the implementation and use of privacyIDEA.
To honor the 10th anniversary of the company, we celebrated our anniversary last week at the Renthof in Kassel. Fellow companions, coaches, employees and their partners came together to celebrate this special occasion. Together we looked back on 10 years of NetKnights – there was a lot of laughter and a few emotional tears.
A particularly lovely moment of the evening was when Cornelius looked back on the last few years and the founding of the company. He talked about how everyone present had played their part in the company’s history and thanked them for it.
The NetKnights team had also thought of something to celebrate this special milestone and thank Cornelius for his dedication and commitment.
The employees showed a personal thank-you video and then presented him with a gift, which was much appreciated. Companions who have supported Cornelius since the founding of NetKnights GmbH also expressed their appreciation in speeches and thanked him for the mutual trust and the pleasant collaboration.
All in all, the celebration was marked by an amicable and friendly atmosphere. The evening was completed by the excellent menu of the Renthof and piano music by Thomas Krug. It was an evening that we will remember fondly for a long time to come. Most of all, it showed how wonderful it is to work on a shared vision.
We are grateful for the trust of our customers, companions and colleagues. And above all, we are grateful that Cornelius decided to found NetKnights GmbH 10 years ago.
